Colourful marbles roll down a twisting path, and at the end of the path is a golden skull pit waiting to engulf the whole chain of marbles. In Marble Shooter, players have to control a frog shaped launcher, choose the right bullet colour and destroy the chain of marbles before it’s too late. The game’s uniqueness is the Aztec temple backdrop and the ruins buried in the jungle, but the most interesting obstacle is the precise calculating of each shot.
Each marble fired should have a function. To remove the marbles off the path you have to make groups of at least three marbles of the same colour. If you shoot well, one combination can open up space, connect groupings of similar colours, or generate opportunities for the next shots.
But the chain of marbles doesn't stand still waiting for you to think. It is always moving down the curving roads and the shorter the distance to the finish line the harder it is to choose a target. A good trick is to look at the two sides of the group of marbles you want to get rid of.
Instead of blindly going for the closest group of colours, look around for anywhere you can clean several marbles at once. When the current color of your bullet isn't suitable, right-click to switch to a reserve marble. This small maneuver can prevent a wasted shot.
Each mode requires a unique approach, from completing levels to controlling challenging marble chains.
Adventure mode takes you through levels of increasing difficulty. The goal is to fill the yellow progress bar to prevent new marbles from appearing, then clear all remaining marbles. Completing levels unlocks more paths and maps.
If you want to test your limits, you can choose survival mode with 20 unlocked maps. The ranking system, from Rabbit, Eagle to Jaguar and Sun God, provides additional goals for you to improve your skills with each turn.

In difficult levels, accuracy alone isn't enough. You also need to know when to use support items to control the situation.
Use Save Bomb to take on hard-to-match colour clusters, or Slow Down when you need more time to aim. Backward is also good when the chain of balls is close to the target but you still have to utilise that time to clear out the remaining balls.
New players should practise good color-matching before attempting to make massive chain reactions. Once you are comfortable with the speed of the game and how the marbles link with each other, start targeting places that can pop numerous groups at once. Marble Shooter is for you if you like colour matching games with a little bit of time constraint and every move affects your ability to control the course of the marble.
