A stunning spin can be built up from a few easy swings, but if you release the grip at the incorrect time, the whole movement might be ruined. Flip Physics takes advantage of this unpredictability with a game that combines gymnastics, parkour and ragdoll physics. Your posture, the direction you spin and the moment you land are all under your direct control, so every attempt is a challenge of bodily movement.
In Flip Physics, the horizontal bar is where you launch yourself into a somersault in the air. To get some speed you need to swing back and forth, and then time your release perfectly to launch your character in the appropriate direction. The better your swing is, the more likely you are to pull off complicated manoeuvres.
But height isn’t everything that defines success. Your body posture will effect the speed and direction of the spin as your character departs the bar. A bent torso will speed up the spin . An extended torso makes a distinct position and modifies how you manage the movement . A complete flip thus necessitates the coordination of building momentum, changing stance, and preparing for landing.
You can attempt different combinations of keys to get varied results every time you make a move.
When you do a flip and want to grab the bar it gets hard. Instead of ending immediately upon leaving the grip, you must control the trajectory to bring the character back to the correct position. A successful catch opens the opportunity to continue the performance and build a longer chain of actions.
Flip Physics uses a key system that allows you to adjust each part of the movement:
You can view or customize the keys in the Key Bindings section. Try each position separately before combining them in a sequence.
Don't change all the movements at once. If the jump isn’t high enough focus on the approach and release time. If the character is spinning too much, try changing the timing of the contraction or move to an extended posture earlier. If you land unsteadily, don't bother trying to make another spin.
Flip Physics is for individuals who love to explore, study the physics mechanics and perfect their technique with every attempt.
