There certain conflicts you don’t need to beat your opponent with raw power, only exhibit your patience to live. Bad Time Simulator has players jump straight into the infamous Sans Fight from Undertale, where a 1 HP skeleton is a nightmare with a flurry of unpredictable attacks. You don't need to complete the entire storyline or install the original game, you can jump directly into the fight in your browser and tackle this task yourself.
The fight with Sans in Undertale occurs at the end of the Genocide Route, a plot path focused on defeating monsters. Bad Time Simulator recreates that confrontation with relentless waves of flying bones, lasers from Gaster Blasters, and a gravity mechanic that forces players to constantly change their movement.
You control a red heart within a small battle arena. A single wrong dodge can deplete your health bar, while the Karmic Retribution effect continues to drain health after you take a hit. Sans dodges all direct hits, so victory depends more on your ability to withstand the attacks than your strength.
The arrow keys or WASD move the heart in four directions. Use Z or Enter to confirm an attack, and X or Shift to go back or skip dialogue. When the soul turns blue, you must utilize gravity and jump using the up arrow or W to overcome obstacles.
The easiest way for beginners to fail is with the light blue bones. Unlike the white bones, they only deal damage when you move. Dodging reflexes, which are useful in other levels, become a mistake here. Sometimes the best way to survive is to give up control entirely.

Besides Normal Mode with its sequential battles, Bad Time Simulator also features Practice, Custom Attack, and Endless. You can practice a specific attack, create your own attack chains, or try continuous, endless attacks. These options make the training more adaptable, especially if you often make mistakes at the same stage.
Bad Time Simulator is best played on a PC or Chromebook with a keyboard, because you will require precise control in all directions to evade. This game is produced by fans, and is not an official product of Toby Fox.
If you want to test your reflexes and patience, try Bad Time Simulator and see if you can go through Sans Fight without falling for the same tricks.
